bed of cake was created to fulfill the often-expressed desire to “just dive right in.” the result is a walkable black forest cherry cake that doesn’t spoil and requires no waste of actual food for enjoyment. this piece offers a critical examination of consumer society and the simultaneous desires for entertainment, consumption, and indulgence.

i invited six people to the table to capture the seemingly mundane act of eating on film and magnify it through projection. in doing so, i discovered that this everyday act is more intimate than expected and carries layers of meaning beyond mere nourishment. with *at the table*, i reflect on eating as a social and cultural event, along with its associated implications.
fake symbiosis, 2023, seven-channel video installation, 10:20 min, loop
various emotions, played out in ten stages by an actress, the video material shown has an artificiality and at the same time a strong attraction that is both confusing and engaging. in a digital, comprehensively networked world, the boundaries between reality and fiction, naturalness and artificiality are blurred, not in the content itself, but also in the places where content is produced, received or shown. fake symbiosis brings precisely these confused connections into the space and enlivens it, even though the seemingly artificial presentation could also have the opposite effect.
intimacy on screen, 2023, video and sound installation 56:00 min, loop
every day we encounter the thematization of intimacy in films, social and other media - but can intimacy be exhibited, shown, shared? intimacy on screen is the result of an artistic research journey in which various intimacies were documented and turned into a very intimate exhibition space in a space-encompassing video and sound installation. at its premiere, a performance also took place within the installation and carries the intimacy even further into the room.

fragment (world), 2023, cellulose unbleached, nylon
"fragment (world)" consists of three elements, suspended on transparent nylon cords, staggered by size in a white corner of the room. the elements, made from unbleached cellulose pulp, create a peculiar, almost animalistic presentation. the soft structure raises material suspicions, despite being composed of cellulose. originating from an exploration of coffee filters, the artistic work focuses on the functionality and internal structures of cellulose.
"fragment (world)" illustrates the significance of cellulose in ecosystems and the technical world. cellulose, serving as a stabilizing substance in plants, forms the basis for cotton textiles and various paper products. its presence in deciduous and coniferous woods contributes to the utilization of cellulose as a raw material in the form of new paper or recycled paper in various paper and cardboard applications. with nearly 50% binding of atmospheric carbon, cellulose plays a crucial role in ecological balance. despite its everyday presence, its importance is often underestimated and deserves more attention in our awareness of sustainable resource management.
am ende beton, 2022, different household objects
"am ende beton" is a performative installation on a parking garage roof. In times of increasing gentrification, housing shortages, rising rental prices, and raw material scarcity, the importance of space and its use is growing. The dead corners of this parking garage roof exemplify many built-up areas that serve no purpose to anyone. With this artistic intervention, an unlikely place was transformed into living space, a place of encounter and exchange. This installation highlights the need for action in various spatial situations in cities and municipalities.
It consists of two rooms, a living room as seen in the picture and a bedroom on the other side of the roof.
