muscles enable movement of the human body through contraction and relaxation, using various building blocks along with different proteins and oxygen. in mitochondria and the oxygen, i have isolated these movements, analyzing them through visible, external movements on film, and examining the role of muscles in meeting the unique demands of dance. my primary focus is on the isolation and visually perceptible contractions of individual muscle groups in relation to the entire body.

impressionism in times of white noise deals with the subjectivity of moments and their temporary sensations.
the main character is an unagitated and subtle painter who, faced with subjective influences that threaten to overwhelm him in their concentration, drifts into a wave of white noise that sweeps him along and takes him further and further away from himself and the moment in which he finds himself.
non-verbally, with the help of spherical original and artificial sounds, as well as the visual embodiment of the protagonist's various emotional states, the film takes its viewers on a journey into a constantly controlled outside, yet agitated and torn inside.
film idea, camera, sound and editing by vico rosenberg, main actor: seneca jurado van bürck. collaboration: richard kachel.
